Geita Gold Mine (GGM) is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of North Western Tanzania. It is located within Geita Region, about 85 kms from Mwanza City and 20 kms South East of the nearest point of Lake Victoria and 5 Kms west of Geita town. The Mine is owned and managed by Anglo Gold Ashanti Limited.
Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals to fill the following vacant positions:
General Investigator
WORKS FOR: COMPLIANCE AND ASSURANCE SUPERINTENDENT
QUALIFICATION: Form six and above.
EXPERIENCE: Candidate should have at least 5 years working experience in an economic crime or serious fraud environment. Having a corruption Investigation capacity will be an added advantage.
ROLE FUNCTION: To apply the strategic framework for the security operations and help to integrate the objectives of security with other functions and service areas, ensuring that long-term objectives are clarified and resourced within the context of achieving company goals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Support the GGM security function in deploying initiatives and strategies relating to information gathering, analysis and investigations.
• Recording and reporting of security events to the Compliance and Assurance Superintendent in a timely and accurate manner to assist him in developing a strategy to counter/mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain existing compliance and assurance
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Develop an informer network inside and outside GGM boundaries to assist GGM security to act proactively in preventing losses and effect arrests.
• Report any information obtained from informants in order for him to develop strategies to counter/mitigate the risks.
• Coach and train informers as to their role, functions and behavior as per prescribed informer handling guidelines.
• Develop and build a relationship with the Finance department to assist in financial investigations.
• Be conversant with all investigation principles and techniques.
• Computer literate.
• Holder of valid driving license.
• Physically fit and hard working.

Assistant Emergency Response Officer
WORKS FOR: ERT FLM
QUALIFICATION:
Form four or above in addition, Certificate in Emergency response or Paramedic issued by accredited authority.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in Fire Rescue.
ROLE FUNCTION: To provide support to ensure the operation of the Geita Gold Mine is not adversely impacted by emergency issues.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• To attend all emergencies that may arise on site.
• To serve as a member of the mine rescue team on site.
• To participate in fire and evacuation drills for GGM and contractors on site.
• Conduct equipment inspection and manage safe storage and readiness.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Good communication skills (Written and spoken English & Kiswahili).
• Physically fit.
• Computer literate.
• Driving experience would be an added advantage.

WORKS FOR: WORKSHOP & OUTSIDE STATION SUPERINTENDENT
QUALIFICATION:
Full Technician Certificate /Ordinary National Diploma in Mech. Engineering/Trade Test Grade I in Fitter Mechanics/Fitting and Turning/Machinist.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years working experience as a Fitter Mechanic/ Machinist.
ROLE /FUNCTION:
To provide day to day mechanical maintenance services to the Process Plant Machinery and related infrastructure.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Install, repair and maintain plant equipments in safe and reliable condition.
• Carry out routine inspection of machinery, equipments and related infrastructure.
• Attend to all mechanical planned and breakdown problems.
• Inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate cause of malfunctions.
• Service various equipment and machine elements of the process mill machinery.
• Fabricate/machine from stock spare parts as required for replacement.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Be able to carry tasks with minimum supervision.
• Be able to understand instructions both in Swahili and English languages.
• Be physically fit.
