Member, Board of Directors - International Relations in Kenya

Youth For International Development is a non-profit, Non-Governmental Organization that empowers the youth through NETWORKING, we are dedicated to provide a multi-sectoral approach to assist youths archive sustainable social and economic development.
YFID is seeking to recruit a Board member whose contribution among others will be;

1. Assist the Board in the creation and implementation of youth development and empowerment policies
2. Risk analysis
3. Advice the board on creation of YFID policies & frameworks to allow the Organization realize its vision of being a major player in International Development.
4. actively participate in meetings and strategy sessions with public officials, subject matter experts, youth, community leaders and non-profit leaders.
5. Support YFID organization-wide initiatives, including occasional events and meetings.

3. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
4. Risk analysis
5. Strong policy, communication, negotiating and analytical skills.
6. Should have a strong strategic, methodical and highly rigorous professional approach.
7. a foreign language is a plus
8. Impeccable organizational skills. Ability to access complexity and create new Ideas.
9. Comfort with web, social media and communication strategies desired
10. High degree of professionalism and discretion and high standards for excellence in execution.

Required Experiences;

• Applicant should hold a Bachelors Degree in International Relations or any related field
• Masters degree in International Relations, International Development, Regional Integration or related field is strongly preferred.
• At-least 3 years working in a non-profit environment or diplomatic environment.
