Officer
Location: Dar es Salaam
Reporting to: Country Representative
Job
Purpose:
The incumbent will
provide additional programmatic, financial and administrative support to the
Tanzania Country Office.
Key
Responsibilities:
·
Process documents received from Country
Representatives, ensuring grants are processed and paid, in compliance with
International Programme Management System (IPMS).
·
Provides programme and project administrative
support to the Country Representative.
·
Proactively ensure reports are received on
time, and passed onto the Country Representative for review. Assist to ensure
compliance with reporting checklist requirements as per IPMS.
·
Responsible for inputting relevant data on
IBIS (financial management) system and ensuring team’s partner related files
are kept up-to-date.
·
Supports the Country Representative
financial management of Partner expenditure through regular monitoring and
reporting of the HIA budgets and grant expenditure.
·
Supports in the management of institutional
donor contracts through tracking and reporting on donor requirements, and
ensuring timely reporting.
·
Managing consultants and ensure relevant
agreements and taxes are remitted.
·
Meeting and Conference organisation.
·
Team co-ordination and general
administrative support.
Required
Qualifications and Skills:
·
A degree preferably in Business
Studies/Business Administration or related field with at least 2-5 years
substantial experience in project administration.
·
Experience in office management and event
organisation
·
Demonstrate
knowledge of basic accounting procedures, Finance and Budget/grant management
·
Knowledge of
financial accounting packages (QuickBooks, IBIS) is desirable
·
Previous
experience in relief and/or developmental work will be an added advantage
·
Demonstrate
strong verbal and written skills in English
·
Good Interpersonal
and networking skills taking into account cross cultural issues and
communication
·
Excellent analytical and report writing skills
·
Computer
literate
This role requires a committed Christian with
