Program Officer, Research and Policy Analysis (1 post)
Responsibilities: Monitor and track
key developments in basic education policy. Conceptualize, implement, monitor and ensure quality of
research studies in education, including reports and publications; facilitate
documentation and sharing of the findings with key stakeholders. Coordinate,
write and translate accessible analytical, research and policy-related
materials, including briefs, concept papers, reports, working papers, opinion
columns and other advocacy materials.
Actively participate in key education coalitions and networks, foster learning
and joint action, and promote HakiElimu interests. Promote broader public
participation, debate and transparency in policy engagement at all levels.
(a) Bachelors of Education degree minimum, Masters of Education preferred
(b) At least 5 years experience in teaching and two years experience in areas related to responsibilities (c) Very good knowledge of the education policy context in Tanzania, as well as key education concepts, policy change and reform.
(d) Strong analytical and research skills
(e) Strong advocacy and public speaking skills,
(f) Excellent writing and communication skills

computer skills
(h)Ability to work effectively and contribute to team work
Responsibilities:
Conduct Budget analysis
of education sector and Public Expenditure Tracking Survey (PETS) and
facilitate documentation and sharing of the findings with key stakeholders.
Work with Member of the Parliament and monitor parliamentary proceedings on
education budget to foster effective use of public funds and service delivery
in education sector. Design and implement advocacy strategy of HakiElimu.
Actively participate in key education coalitions and networks working on
budget, foster learning and joint action, and promote HakiElimu interests.
Promote broader public participation, debate and transparency in policy
engagement at all levels.
(a) BA degree minimum, Masters preferred
(b) At least two
years experience in areas related to responsibilities

process and social political context of Tanzania
(d) Strong
