Responsibility:
§ Group-level expert resource to assist individual network operations (OpCos) within the group to develop implementation plans and rollout strategies in alignment with group strategy, and assist with execution of network transformation plans
§ Group-level expert resource and leadership establishing and ensuring projects are established in implemented in accordance with the shareholder key imperatives throughout the business operations
§ Drive vendor behavior to align with group strategy
§ Available to be deployed to assist group OpCos in the execution of special projects or to address a short or medium term resource or capability shortfall
§ Available for redeployment to OpCo program management director if the need arises
§ Provide technical support to group M&A activity
Required skills:
§ 15 years’ experience directly related to Vendor management and project delivery
§ Previously held positions commensurate to Project Management environment working to Business heads or CTO's in the telecommunications industry
§ Certification as a Certified Practicing Project Director from a Internationally recognised institution
§ International experience, preferably in the MENA and SEA region
§ Vast experience delivering new and innovative telecommunications networks
§ Vast experience in dealing with complex projects and bringing together all stakeholders to ensure project delivery success
§ Good knowledge of mobile network and system architecture
§ High level of knowledge and awareness of contract requirements, capable of working within a team assessing and negotiating with potential vendors on behalf of the Group and its operating companies
§ Capable of evaluating and establishing common delivery methodologies systems and reporting regimes
§ Good knowledge of key mobile telecom radio access technologies, including hardware and software components
§ Strong knowledge of network implementation methods and strategies, including configuration, planning and optimisation
