RELIABILITY SECTION LEADER (1)

Reporting to the Asset Reliability Manager we seek to appoint a Reliability Section Leader at our Buzwagi gold mining operation.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Custodian for implementing & auditing compliance to ABG's maintenance strategy and practices,

Provide a planned maintenance scheduling service based on sound PM principles to the asset reliability sections.
Set up systems for the timeous provision of spares from stock based on planned maintenance

BOM's.

Facilitate regular failure analysis meetings with the asset management sections to understand and reduce failure.
Collect, analyses and report maintenance compliance & operational performance data

Custodian to support & audit compliance of legal & technical inspections

Provide a condition monitoring service including vibration, oil analysis, infra-red, thickness and non-destructive techniques to capture and analyses data to pre-empt equipment failure by early detection.
Optimizes equipment life-cycle costs by using life-cycle costing (LCC) analysis.

Employs proactive techniques to extend machinery life: Failed Part Analysis (FPA), Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)

Adapts Total Proactive Maintenance, Reliability Centered Maintenance and other concepts in the operating environment.
Provides specifications of new/rebuilt equipment.

Provide a hydro Carbon technical support & monitoring service that liaises with the asset reliability sections & fuel & lubricant service providers.

Set up and review KPI performance of all maintenance sections, including contractors, and jointly engage with Business Improvement specialists in driving uptime performance & cost efficiency.

Provide technical support and leadership to the planning, condition monitoring and hydro Carbon Management teams, and develop their skills though development training

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Education Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Registration with Engineers Registration Board (ERB)

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in supervisory role.

Worked in a planned maintenance environment for a minimum of 5 years

Experience in Mining will be an added advantage

Special Attributes:

Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and Pronto is essential.

Excellent communication skills.

Technical Analytical ability

Familiar with standard maintenance techniques

Ability to interpret work plans and effectively communicates targets and goals.

Able to drive and hold a Tanzanian driving license

OUTSIDE MAINTENANCE SECTION LEADER (1)

Reporting to the Asset Reliability Manager we seek to appoint an Outside Maintenance Section Leader at our Buzwagi gold mining operation.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Scope & manage capital and working cost projects to ensure agreed time, cost and quality targets are met safely and in accordance to environmental guidelines.

Manage all civil & structural engineering works both within the mine site as well as approved community related projects.
Responsible for fencing and vegetation control on the mine site.

Installation and upkeep of plastics liners on site, primarily at the TSF and mining production areas

Manage the maintenance of all camp and external facilities including all buildings complexes, room accommodation, swimming pool, gym, laundry, bar, kitchen, changing houses, and other recreation facilities to a high standard.

Maintenance of all equipment around the site including but not limited to incinerators, air conditioning, laundry equipment, kitchen cookware, ancillary equipment, fridges ,washing machines, generators, site lighting and fire pumps & borehole pumps
Develop, review and execute planned maintenance for all equipment and structures in the section.

Attending all water treatment plant, pipes systems and control systems to make sure that water purification and sewage treatments are done in a safe manner.

Management of domestic water supplies from boreholes as well as water supplied by the Kahama Council for billing purposes.

Ensure that contractor's safety management plans are in place, are monitored, and meet absolute compliance to Mine & ABG's safety standards and practices.

Ensure own and contractor equipment is safe to operate, secured, and meets the Mine's safety and operational standards.

Provide leadership to the management team to ensure the development of a working environment that is conducive to achievements of KPI's.

Manage employees' developmental needs in achieving their full potential through effective training and mentoring programs.

Actively engage in Business Improvement initiatives to ensure that value enhancing ideas are identified and implemented.

Participate in developing the appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of corporate governance is achieved.

Actively participate in appropriate government working parties and community groups to ensure that Buzwagi interests are represented and protected for engineering works conducted within the wider community.

Provide leadership to develop and enforce appropriate policies to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards that meet or exceed Mine, ABG & industry practice and abide with applicable legislative requirements

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Education Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Professional Registration with Engineers Registration Board (ERB)

A recognized course in Project Management

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years' experience in a variety of project construction activities

Demonstrated skills with capital justification, budget development, expenditure and controls.

Experience in Mining or Construction industries is essential.

Management experience within a maintenance engineering (electrical & mechanical) environment.

Experience with operations and project development in a developing country environment.

Awareness of culture, business environment and infrastructures issues is considered essential.

Special Attributes:

Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and Pronto is essential.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to interpret work plans and effectively communicates targets and goals.

Able to drive and hold a Tanzanian driving license.

SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (1)

Reporting to the Asset Reliability Manager we seek to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer at our Buzwagi gold mining operation.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Custodian of electrical supply and technical integrity of electrical distribution systems & electrical equipment at Buzwagi

Managing all incoming power form TANESCO including the main sub transformer and yard, sub stations & MCC's.

Ensure planned maintenance and condition monitoring of electrical systems are identified and in place.

Monitoring incoming power from TANESCO and manage the co-generation and islanding of the AGGREKO generating station to ensure a continuous & safe supply of power.

Set & audit Maintenance standards of all substations, MCC's, distribution systems and electrical equipment on the mine site. Managing overall inspection of lines, poles earth testing and checking.

Management, analysis & reporting of daily TANESCO & AGGREKO power supply consumptions, quality of supply, diesel usage and costs.
Ensuring quarterly tagging of all portable equipment's in the entire Mine site.

Be a leader of safety, raise safety awareness and ensure all safety aspects are implemented and documented.
Ensure staff development, supervision and performance management.

Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by the Asset reliability manager.


PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Education Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Registration as a professional engineer (ERB)

Certification in high voltage

Experience Requirements:

High voltage and stand-by power generation experience is essential

High tension and Low tension switching experience

Flexible cable joint and Mine Sub Station Maintenance experience

A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in supervisory role.

Experience in Mining will be an added advantage.

Special Attributes:

Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and Pronto is essential.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to interpret work plans and effectively communicates targets and goals.

Able to drive and hold a Tanzanian driving license
