About You:
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic development professional to be based in Dar es Salaam with regular travel to project sites in Tanzania.
The Role:
To oversee and manage the effective delivery of the Beekeepers Economic Empowerment Project in Tanzania (BEET), ensuring the project is implemented to a high standard in line with the expectations of key stakeholders (Traidcraft, the project partner, donors and beneficiaries). To lead on the delivery of specific project functions and activities for which Traidcraft is responsible, in particular those relating to improved access to markets for beekeepers.
Skills and Qualifications:
You'll have a bachelor's level degree in the relevant field and experience of successfully managing complex donor funded projects, including the management of action plans, budgets, reporting, monitoring and evaluation and trouble shooting. You'll have direct and in depth experience of working with beekeepers and in the honey sector in Tanzania. You'll have strong language and numeracy skills, including excellent written report writing and proven understanding of financial management. You'll have Project management skills, with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and will have excellent communication skills both oral and written, and fluent in English and Swahili.
