Job Description
Our client a leading is a food processing company manufacturing innovated therapeutic product to treat several type of malnutrition within the region.
The company sells its products to Tanzanian Humanitarian stakeholders and also and mainly in Kenya, Burundi, Somalia, Zambia, DRC to UN agencies, Ministries of Health, NGO’s or Foundations.
The Production Manager will have to handle the development and the organization of the industrial production. He will have to plan his weekly production volume, make sure the company is producing smoothly by forecasting the raw materials and consumables needs.
Qualifications
ü Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, food engineering or agriculture.
ü Experience in food processing or manufacturing industry with leadership skills with at least two years working experience.
ü Knowledge in software ESYCUDA System, Inco term 2010 will have added advantage
ü Must possess IT knowledge.
Duties/Responsibilities
ü Organize production planning in relation to orders, stocks and production capacity and the production meeting with all the departments.
ü Organize Human Resources planning and management (recruitment, annual evaluations, and holidays, working hour registration, training follow up)
ü Follow up contracts with temporary work agencies
ü Organize training for the operators ; health, quality, safety, environment
ü Data reporting in production software or excel sheet.
ü Design and follow up of the specific labeling for the orders.
ü Supervise cleaning and maintenance activities in the production site.
ü Check that procedures and instructions concerning respect for quality, health and safety standards are being followed. Follow up the implementation of the quality system
ü Report information to management, warn them in case of emergency, risk or malfunction. Relay the information from the management to operators.
ü In the event of an incident, implement the required safety measures.
ü Propose and implement improvements in order to optimize production tools.
ü Potentially contribute to the scaling up of new product manufacture.
