The Senior HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing business focused and technically sound HR generalist support to one or more global and local functions or categories. In partnership with business managers, the HR Business Partner will identify and address people related business requirements as well as outline and drive the people business plan and ensure support from Functional HR Experts as needed.
The Senior HR Business Partner is also responsible for coordinating the HR activities in the African operations, ensuring the delivery of the human resources strategy across the region and by supporting line managers and local HR managers. He will supervise and coordinate plans and actions that should be implemented in Africa.
This position is based in London and involves frequent travel to our operations in Africa.

Key Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for supporting the business management team in aligning business and people strategies, directions and objectives through appropriate actions and plans based on the Global HR Strategy.
• Provide leadership for initiatives that support talent management, development, recognition, organisational design and change management.
• Partner with business towards delivering value added HR solutions to meet specific business needs
• Work proactively with the business managers to continuously improve HR service levels, and ensure client satisfaction;
• Support the implementation of the Global People Strategy in the relevant global function or global category in order to ensure that the people plan is on target.
o Participate in all activities in the recruitment life cycle including: sourcing planning, screening, interviewing, pre-selecting and offer management.
o Provide a comprehensive induction program to new recruits, as per company's guidelines
o Roll out of Global HR initiatives in the areas of talent management, succession planning, performance management, etc.
o Roll out of HR tools and processes to current business managers.
• Create change management plans to act as a change agent to support:
o Changes to the organization structure of the business;
o Implementation of business strategies;
o Introduction of new business practices

QUALIFICATIONS
• Master in HR/ Economics/ Psychology /Law or equivalent through experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and writing)
• Solid French and English language skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
• 10-15 years of extensive and relevant HR experience in an international environment, or as an HR Generalist or as a functional HR Expert with proven ability to grow into an HR Generalist role. Focus being : Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Management, Recruitment, Total Reward, Internal Communication and Employee Engagement
• Hands on person capable to evolve in a complex environment and able to travel extensively to our operations in Africa (40% of the time)
