ADVERTISEMENT FOR ACADEMIC POSTS
The Management of SUA invites qualified Tanzanians to apply
for positions for Tutorial Assistants (TA's) (<35 yrs of age) and
Assistant Lecturers (<45 years). Applicants are advised to note
that minimum GPA of 3.8 at undergraduate level applies for TAs
and 3.5 at BSc/BA level and a good Masters degree is applicable
for those with postgraduate qualifications. Only registered
veterinarians will be considered for interviews. Applicants are
advised to note that salary packages and fringe benefits shall be
as per Treasury Registrar's Circular no 3 of 2011.
The deadline for submission of application letters indicating
names and addresses of two referees, together with certified
copies of certificates and transcripts, curriculum vitae shall be 5th
September 2011 at 12:00 noon. Only short listed applicants will
be contacted for interview. Those who had applied for similar

Physiology for applicants in possession of a MSc in

Assistant Lecturer (1 Post) in the discipline of Agricultural
Economics with bias in Agricultural Finance/Agribusiness
Management/ Marketing. Applicants should be in possession of
a Bachelors degree in Economics/Agricultural Economics and
postgraduate qualifications preferably in Agricultural Finance and/or
Agribusiness Management/ Marketing

Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) for applicants in possession of Bachelor
of Veterinary Medicine with a score of "B" in Anatomy and related
subjects. Working experience will be an added advantage.
5. DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY PHYSIOLOGY,
BIOCHEMISTRY, PHARMACOLOGY AND TOXICOLOGY
Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) in the discipline of Animal Physiology
for applicants in possession of BVM/BLS/BVSc. BVM applicants
must have an overall average score of "B" or above in all subjects
( 4th and 5th year). Applicant must have scored an average of "B"
or above in Animal Physiology or Veterinary Physiology.
6. DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY SURGERY AND
THERIOGENOLOGY
Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) in the discipline of Veterinary Surgery
and Theriogenology for applicants in possession of BVM/BVSc
with an overall average score of "B" or above in all subjects (4th
and 5th year). Applicant must have scored an average of "B" or
above in Veterinary Surgery and Theriogenology.
7. DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY MICROBIOLOGY AND
PARASITOLOGY (Re-advertisement)
Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) in the discipline of Microbiology for
applicants in possession of BVM/BLS/BVSc. BVM applicants must
have an overall average score of "B" or above in all subjects (4th
and 5th year). Applicant must have scored an average of "B" or
above in Microbiology.

Assistant Lecturer (1 Post) in the discipline of Forest Economics
for applicants in possession of a BSc. (Forestry) and Masters in
Resource Economics, Econometrics, Environmental Economics,
Business Administration, Land and Natural Resource Law.
9. DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE MANAGMENT
(i)
Assistant Lecturer (1 Post) in the discipline of Languages
(Spanish and one other language apart from English) for
applicants in possession of Bachelors degree in Tourism
Management or Languages and a Master degree in related
field. The candidate must be fluent in Spanish or one other
language apart from English.
(ii)
Assistant Lecturer (1 Post) in the discipline of Tourism
Management for candidates in possession of a Bachelors
degree in Tourism and Masters degree in related field. The
candidate will teach various tourism management courses.
10. DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL SCIENCES
Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) the applicant must possess a
Bachelors degree in Chemistry with a good pass in
Descriptive/ Systematic Inorganic Chemistry and
Coordination Chemistry.

Assistant Lecturer (1 Post) the applicant must possess a
Masters degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, or
Information Technology or Information System or related
field.

Assistant Lecturer (1 Post) the applicant must possess a
Masters degree in Education (Science Education or
Psychology) or related field discipline.
Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) in the discipline of Political
Science for applicants in possession of BA (Rural
Development) or related field.

(i) Tutorial Assistant (1 Post) the applicant must possess a
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or
Information Technology or related field.
(ii) Assistant Lecturer (2 Posts) the applicant must be posses
