PEAS Uganda seeks to recruit urgently for the following positions; SCHOOL DIRECTORS (10 posts), HEAD TEACHERS (10 posts) and 1 COORDINATOR OF NEW SCHOOLS ( CNS) for the schools below 1. Amuria District: Akoromit Ark – PEAS High school 2. Mayuge District: Kityerera Ark – PEAS High school 3. Kumi District: Mukongoro Ark -PEAS High school, Ngero Ark -PEAS High school, 4. Ngora District: Ngora PEAS High school 5. Sheema District: Kigarama PEAS High school 6. Kabarole District: Kichwamba PEAS High school 7. Bushenyi District: Nyabubare PEAS High school 8. Kasese District: Bwesumbu PEAS High School, Kithoma PEAS High School 9. Mubende District: Forest High School. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Role Summary: Reporting to the School Director the office bearer provides effective, dynamic and inspirational leadership in order to enable PEAS school to attain its agreed education outcomes . Key responsibilities among others: Drives high performance expectations for PEAS students and for teachers to be effective and innovative, including the setting of targets together with the Director Provides input to the school improvement plan and is responsible for the delivery of all the educational components. Assumes responsibility for all education targets and reports all SIP requirements and other educational data to the Director. Assumes responsibility for the educational components of the school inspection and takes action to put improvements in place. Leads the development and implementation of annual and termly education development strategies including those mandated by PEAS national office. Leads teaching and learning in the school and models good practice, including the use of participatory and gender-sensitive techniques. Sets clear expectations for students. Defines and implements academic policies. Oversees the delivery of the school curriculum including the vocational training element. Oversees effective progression, targeting and assessment within the school. Encourages staff to reflect on what they are trying to achieve with students and how they are doing it in order to improve learning outcomes Oversees regular lesson observations of teaching staff and facilitates opportunities for staff to learn from each other and models continual learning in their own practice. Proactively engages parents about their children's learning.

Requirement: Work experience in Secondary Education delivery and management School leader for at least 2 years. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Professional Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Education DESIRED Training in Educational Administration, Curriculum Development or related field.
