Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Head of procurement will be responsible for implementing supply chain policies and procedures and ensuring effective and efficient procurement of goods, works and services.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelors degree in Commerce, Economics or Supplies Management from a recognised University or A Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline as well as a
- Post Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management. A relevant Masters Degree will be an added advantage;
- At least eight years experience in a relevant field; two ofwhich must be in a senior position in a procurement or supply chain related role;
- Registered member of the Kenya Institute of Supply Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute ofPurchasing and Supply (CIPS).
- Excellent knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005 and the Regulations, 2006;
- High level of integrity with excellent negotiation, record keeping, analytical and report writing skills; and
- Demonstrated outstanding professional competence as reflected in work relatedperformance and results.
