THE PROJECT FOR THE INTEGRATED RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, PANGAWE
MOROGORO REGION OF THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA

The project for the Integrated Rural Development Program implemented by Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Pangawe village Morogoro, is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the following positions:

1. Civil Engineer (2 Position)

2. Architect ( 1 position)

1. Civil Engineer (2 Position)

Description: Duties and responsibilities will include:

He /She will assist the Project Manager (PM) generally to perform the establishment of agricultural infrastructure such as irrigation system and effective water use plan in Pangawe project village considering related law and water rights from topographic survey, detailed design and its construction and other technical matters to support the PM and the project goal as follows.

i. Preparing for complete set of Bidding document for Topographic map and detailed design of project irrigation scheme and buildings and other agricultural facility with TOR and other legal necessary administrative works.

ii. Review and monitor of the work result of the Contractor’s on Topographic map, BOQs, unit costs and cost estimates and the design note and O&M manuals.

iii. Preparation for Bidding document for construction based on the result of the detailed design of the irrigation system for tendering with all related administrative works.

iv. Construction supervision of the Contractor for the civil works implementation and buildings and agricultural facilities under quality control;

v. Write a periodical report when particular technical issues and also regular report such as quarterly, bi-annual, Annual report, etc.

vi. Preparing and training O&M manual by organizing WUA for Pangawe village.

vii. And other technical works and management related farming facilities for agriculture in the project

viii. And other technical and administrative works by the order of the PM.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-

•Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
•Registration with ERB professional Engineer
•3 –5 years experience in civil engineering
•Ability to plan, manage people and organize a team effort
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Good client management and goodwill building ability
•Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
•Capacity to handle pressure
•Able to deliver under pressure and under minimum supervision.
* Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical drawings and specification documents.
* As an engineer, the candidate will provide practical solutions, demonstrate excellent conceptual and analytical ability, and have remarkable documentation skills.

2. Architect (1 Position)

Description: Duties and responsibilities will include:

i. Preparing for complete set of Bidding document for Building and agricultural architectural facility such as school, Agricultural Center, Animal farms and etc. with TOR and other legal necessary administrative works.

ii. Review, monitor and correct the work result of the Contractor’s on BOQs, unit costs and cost estimates for School, Agricultural Center, Animal farms and etc.

iii. Preparation for bidding document for construction based on the result of the detailed design of school and agricultural architectural facility for tendering with all related administrative works.

iv. Construction supervision of the Contractor for the civil works implementation under quality control;

v. Write a periodical report when particular technical issues and also regular report such as quarterly, bi-annual, Annual report, etc.

vi. And other technical works and management related farming facilities for agriculture in the project

vii. And other technical and administrative works by the order of the Project Manager.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-
Bachelor degree in architecture
3-5 years’ experience in an architect's office
Professional registration desired
Must have a team player attitude and be willing to work hard to get the job done on time and with high attention to detail.
