AHRC-Funded PhD Studentship in History, University of Hull
The History Departments at the Universities of Hull and Huddersfield invite high-quality proposals from applicants for two AHRC-funded PhD studentships tenable for three years from 1 October 2012. One award will be held at Hull and the other at Huddersfield, with optional access to facilities and research support at the other consortium institution.
Applicants, who should hold at least a good undergraduate, and preferably a Master's qualification (or be completing their programme), may offer a proposal from any area of History from the medieval to the contemporary. Hull would, however, particularly welcome proposals which correspond with the department's research strengths in the areas of maritime, environmental, European, military, slavery or business history, while Huddersfield welcomes proposals in English medieval and early modern history and modern British history.
