Requirements : Postgraduate qualification in Medicine, Public Health or related fields. At least 3 years of progressive work experience in health care and health research. Experience in proposals writing, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and analytical skills. Proven record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and development and delivery of professional reports within time and budget constraints.
Job Description :(i) Coordinate and promote health research in Tanzania. (ii) Keep an up-dated inventory of national scientific activities, research equipment and research scientists in R&D institutions, academia and industry related to health. (iii) Initiate the establishment of strong linkages with and between R&D Institutions undertaking research and technological activities on medical and public health. (iv) Promote public private partnerships in health research for socio-economic development of the country. (v) Carry out in depth analysis of research achievements and constraints in health.
