HR Manager_Barrick Tanzania

POSITION OVERVIEW
To support the day-to-day operations of HR functions by conducting all manpower administrative roles and looking for ways to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Reporting Line: HR Manager.
Location: North Mara Mine Site
Work Schedule: Rotational Status (6 Weeks on 3 Weeks off)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist in the administration of recruitment and placement processes in accordance to Barrick standards and North Mara Mine procedures
· Preparing of job offers and communication to National / international candidates with approval of HR, OE and MGM
· Conduct Induction to all new NMM International / national employees
· Weekly update on manpower statistics – recruitments, turnover, promotions, secondments etc
· Ensure monthly salary input schedule for National / expatriates with supporting documents is done and approved on a timely manner.
· Provide effective maintenance and update of HR Systems (Oracle Database) on a daily basis
· Work on benefits calculation in a Quarterly and End of contract basis and ensure sign off from Heads of HR, and Administration
· Maintain up to date records, in an orderly manner in all personnel files
· Updating leave records and schedule for staff and ensure correct documentation is maintained in a monthly basis
· Ensure Medical enrolments with International/National Medical providers, and additions, deletions of exited staff and payments are correct on a monthly basis
· Maintaining accurate records with regards to permit applications, expiry of permits, renewals etc on a weekly basis
· Support and attend to day-to-day queries from National/International staff with regards to any HR Processes and Procedures
· Dealing with any IR issues when need arises
· Support safety, health and environment issues on site

QUALIFICATIONS

· 2- 3 years experience in Human Resources function
· Degree/ qualification in Human Resources or any related field
· Good understanding of business principles
· Knowledge of Human Resources practices in all functional areas
· Good computer skills and knowledge of Oracle application is an added advantage
