LAKE GAS LTD - One of Tanzania's fastest growing Marketing company, engaged in the importation and distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), launched an innovative product – "COMPOSITE CYLINDERS" - the first of its kind in Tanzania.
In Tanzania, the usage of Metal cylinders has been the most prevalent up to now; henceforth a discerning consumer shall have a choice as to what type of cylinder best suits their family.
"This composite cylinder have very unique features, they are non explosive, non corrosive, light in weight and is translucent. These four properties will reassure consumer of its safety and usability other than the fact that it's aesthetically pleasing" stated CEO of Lake Gas Ltd Mr. Ally Edha Awadh.
The first Lake Gas composite cylinder was handed over to the Guest of Honour representing on behalf of Minister of Energy and Minerals, Prof Sospeter Muhongo -, Asst Commissioner for Energy Eng Nobert Kahyoza by Mr. Ally Edha Awadh, thus marking the beginning of commercial usage of this state of art cylinders.

Lake Gas Composite cylinders are made by one of the leading Manufacturer of Composite cylinders in India and are now available with all Lake Gas Super Dealerships in Dar es Salaam as well as up country locations across Tanzania.
Lake Gas Ltd is part of the Lake Group of companies, a prestigious conglomerate of companies originated from Tanzania. This is again the brainchild of Mr. Ally Edha Awadh who spotted the huge potential for LPG product in a country starved for cooking fuel. Lake Gas Ltd's import terminal facilities are located at Kigamboni. The 750MT(1,600,000 Liters) Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) storage capacity terminal is capable of receiving the product directly from ships through a 3,500meters long pipeline from the oil jetty at Dar es Salaam port. The company aims to increase its storage capacity to more than 3000MT in near future with the new Depot coming up at Tanga. Currently, Lake Gas Ltd is operating a LPG cylinder filling plant in Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam which has capacity to store about 30MT LPG and fill more than 2MT LPG or about 1200 cylinders in a single calendar day
