Graduate Metallurgist - (1 POST)
Reporting Line: Senior Metallurgist
Location: BUZWAGI GOLD MINE; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.
Work Schedule: 6 weeks on; 3 week off

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
• Ensure total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies of PML, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Assist in providing technical support to Buzwagi Process Plant operation to ensure agreed targets are achieved, within corporate safety and environmental guidelines in the areas of:
• Mill Availability, Throughput and Recovery; and
• Process Operating & Maintenance Costs and Capital Expenditure.

• Actively participate in the Compass Training Program to ensure personal development in order to assume positions of increasing accountability. Ensure new skills are gained so that full potential can be achieved.
• Assist with activities of Metallurgical Laboratory, including calibration of plant technical equipment.
• Assist with activities of Metallurgical Laboratory, including calibration and ensuring the accuracy of plant technical equipment.
• Provide accurate and timely Plant monitoring data to Metallurgy and Operations.
• Conduct and monitor sampling activities and provide quality assurance and quality control ori al
Metallurgical Samples, and ensure that they are delivered to the Assay Laboratory in a timely manner.
• Conduct laboratory test work, analysis and reporting, as required.
• Conduct plant surveys, analysis and reporting, as required.
• Prepare reports for the Process Department as required.

- • Continually review every aspect of the Process Plant to ensure that opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified.

QUALIFICATION ,EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-
Experience Requirements:
• 2 years post graduate experience in process operations.
• Work safely at all times.

• Display clear ability to learn and practice strong theoretical and practical knowledge of metallurgy and plant operations.
• Display high standards of work quality and efficiency.


Education Requirements:
-. B.Sc. Chemical, Mineral Processing or Metallurgical Engineering, or. Metallurgy or similar. • Practical work experience (vacation work) in the mining industry is essential.
