Proposals for Provision of Audit Services


Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) is the largest humanitarian organisation in Kenya. Its vision is to be the most effective, most trusted and self-sustaining humanitarian organisation in the country. 

KRCS was appointed by the Kenya Coordinating Mechanism (KCM) as the Civil Society Principal Recipient (PR) to manage resources under the Country's Global Fund Round 10 Grant for HIV and will implement through 49 selected Sub Recipients (SRs).
 
The Sub Recipients are spread across the following 6 KRCS Regions:


KRCS is currently seeking the services of registered Audit Firms to provide external audit services for the 49 Sub Recipients for:
 
i) 4 months period ending on 31 December 2012.
 
ii) 12 months period ending on 31 December 2013.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • A registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
  • Have a valid practicing certificate
  • Have complied with the requirements of Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Have prior experience with audits of similar organisations and donor funded programmes
  • Familiarity with Global Fund's code of conduct for suppliers is an added advantage
  • Must be independent
Deliverables
  • Complete set of audited financial statements inclusive of an audit opinion.
  • Management letter in the Global Fund prescribed format.
All proposals must include the following:
  • Technical and financial proposals in different envelopes clearly marked, enclosed and sealed in one plain envelope.
  • A copy of current practicing certificate.
  • A copy of business registration certificate.
  • Copy of tax compliance certificate.
  • Copies of CVs.
  • Reference from previous and/or current clients.
The proposals must be submitted as different proposals for each region otherwise they shall be disqualified.

The applications should be submitted not later than 21 November 2012, 12:00 noon and placed in the Tender Box at the Main reception of the Kenya Red Cross Society Head office situated in South C, Nairobi, off Popo Road.
 
All Participants are invited to attend the Tender opening soon after on the same day at the Kenya Red Cross Society Head Office,Third Floor Boardroom.
