Directorate of Human Resource & Administration, Public Affairs & Communication and Performance Management


The Constitution of Kenya 2010 inter alia mandates the Judiciary to dispense Justice without undue delay. 

In order for the Judiciary to be responsive to this constitutional requirement, it is imperative that the Judiciary strengthens its administrative and governance functions to position itself as a strong, effective and efficient institution in the administration of justice in the country.

The Judiciary now seeks to recruit high calibre employees in the Directorate of Human Resource & Administration, Public Affairs & Communication and Performance Management. 


We seek staff with appropriate competencies and experience to fill the following positions in the Judiciary:

Directorate Of Human Resources And Administration 

Deputy Director, Human Resource,

 
Scale PLS 16, No. Of Posts 1 (One)

 
Overall purpose of the job

 
Reporting to the Director, Human Resource & Administration, the Deputy Director will provide leadership in the Human Resource Division in the Judiciary.


Specifically, the incumbent will co-ordinate all Human Resource activities at the Headquarters and oversee Human Resource activities in the regions.


Person specification

 
The successful candidate will:
  • Possess a Masters degree in Human Resource Management/industrial Relations, Business Administration (Human Resource Management) or equivalent;
  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent;
  • Have at least 10 years experience ¡n leading the Human Resource function in a large and reputable organization;
Deputy Director, Administration,

Scale PLS 16, No. Of Posts 1 (One)


Overall purpose of the job

 
Reporting to the Director, Human Resource & Administration, the incumbent will provide leadership in the Administration Division in the Judiciary.


Specifically, the incumbent will co-ordinate all the activities in the Administration Division and oversee Administration activities in the regions.


Person specification

 
The successful candidate will:

  • Possess a Masters degree in Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent;
  • Have at least 10 years experience in leading the Administration function of a large and reputable organization.
Assistant Director, Human Resource,

Scale PLS 14, No. Of Posts 2 (Two)


Overall purpose of the job

 
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Human Resource & Administration, the incumbent will provide leadership in specified areas of Human Resource Management including recruitment, staff mobility, employee development, employee rewards and compensation and well as employee welfare.


Person specification

The successful candidate will Possess:

  • A Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration (Human Resource Management) or equivalent
  • At least 9 years experience in Human Resource Management, five of which should be as the head of Human Resource function in a large and reputable organization.
Assistant Director, Administration,

Scale PLS 14, No. Of Posts 1 (One)


Overall purpose of the job

 
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Administration the incumbent will assist the Deputy Director in providing leadership and co-ordination of all Administration activities at the Head Office and the regions.


Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • At least 9 years experience in Human Resource Management, five of which should be as the head ofthe Administration function in a large and reputable organization.
Principal Administration Officer,

Scale PLS 13, Posts 2 (Two)


Overall purpose of the job

 
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Administration, the incumbent will provide leadership and direction in effective organization, Administration and operation of the Transport, Security, Infrastructure and Maintenance functions.


Person specification
The successful candidate will:

  • Possess a Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • Have at least 7 years experience in Administration, three of which should be in managing transport, security or facilities of a busy organization.
Chief Human Resource Officer,

Scale PLS 12, No. Of Posts 5 (Five)


Overall purpose of the job

 
Reporting to the line Assistant Director, the incumbent will provide leadership, support and coordination of all activities under the respective section.


Person specification

 
The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or related field; a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • At least five years experience in a relevant management position;
In addition, applicants for the positions under Human Resource and Administration must;
  • Be a member of relevant professional body;
  • Be a team player;
  • Possess strong organizational and analytical skills;
  • Be self motivated, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision;
  • Possess excellent management , communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Be computer literate and familiar with standard office computer applications.
