Position Description
The Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks applicants for positions at the tenure-track or tenured level in Electrical Engineering, with an expected start date of July 1, 2013. We invite applications in broadly-defined areas of electronic devices, circuits, and systems from Electrical Engineering and other relevant disciplines. We are particularly interested in: 1) emerging and/or 'beyond-CMOS' devices (including, but not limited to, nanoscale, molecular, low-dimensional, and quantum-effect devices); 2) all aspects ofCMOS integrated circuits and systems design; and 3) emerging applications, including, but not limited to, bio/medical-technology (e.g., implantable systems, imaging, neuronal interfaces, biomolecular sensing and analysis), terahertz technology, and optoelectronics.
The Electrical Engineering program benefits from outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, an excellent location, significant industrial collaborations, and substantial support from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Basic Qualifications
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering or related field by the expected start date.
Additional Qualifications
In addition, we seek candidates who have an outstanding research record and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and graduate training. We are in particular looking for broadly educated and multidisciplinary applicants in all ranks, of exceptional potential, who can interact with a wide range of both Electrical Engineering and other SEAS faculty.
