Christian Aid sees rights to access adequate and quality education as key to addressing humanitarian and development challenges in South Sudan. This role will coordinate, monitor and develop Christian Aid's education programme in South Sudan in line with priorities outlined in the Country Policy and Strategic Paper.
You will have substantial experience in a similar role of working in partnership with local and international organisations to deliver effective education programmes through direct and indirect training, accompaniment, networking, capacity building and representation at relevant internal and external forums at state and national level whilst keeping abreast of issues and structural causes associated with rights to access quality education.
Educated to degree level in a development related field or the equivalent, you will have an advanced understanding of the education, exclusion and poverty context in South Sudan. You will be familiar with practical applications of various participatory tools and methodologies for community mobilization, organization, empowerment, policy analysis and advocacy. Excellent programmatic and financial monitoring and evaluation skills as well as capacity building skills will be pivotal to the success of this role. You will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate fluency in the English language and proficiency in the use of standard computer software.
