Tanzania’s MPs congratulate Minister for ‘cleaning’ TANESCO

The MPs of United Republic of Tanzania have congratulated the Minister for Energy and Minerals, Prof Sospeter Muhongo and the whole ministry for taking steps against the Tanzania Electric Supply Limited (TANESCO) management.

Same MP, Hon Ana Kilango Malecela stressing a point in one of the Assembly sessions going on in Dodoma.

Speaking in the Assembly today the legislators have said it is the first time they all unite together regardless of religions, ages, gender and parties to express their thanks for steps taken.
“Honourable Chairman this is the actual revolution we were always fighting for. I would like to express my thanks to the President Kikwete…he has appointed very active people in the Ministry…this is what we wanted. I congratulate Prof Muhongo for cleaning TANESCO. ” said Same MP, Mrs. Ana Kilango Malecela.
Nzega legislator, Dr Hamis Kigwangallah said this is the first time he applauds the Ministry of Energy and Minerals after remarkable changes which have been made for the national interest.
“For the first time my Municipal Council of Nzega is going to benefit from the minerals we have. This is what I was wanted for the development of my Province.”
On the side of Southern Kigoma NCCR-Mageuzi MP, David Kafulila said for a long time the Minerals sector has been ‘raped’ by the unfaithful leaders.
“This is the beginning we expect more…I told you we will benefit from minerals if we make changes.” insisted Kafulila
The last MP to wind up the evening session, Mwibara Province representative, Kangi Alphaxard Lugola warned the government officials who think they will use the Parliament for their personal interests, this is their end.
“Honourable Chairman, this is a warning. They will not use this Assembly for their interests.”
For the first time the Ministry of Energy and Minerals has applauded for the steps taken to ensure problem of electricity shortage is ended and the Tanzanian minerals benefit the citizens. The Assembly sessions are expected to proceed tomorrow at 9 am.
