Your Key responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities include but not limited to, are:
Evaluate existing suppliers and developing new suppliers base.
Develop bid package & perform bid evaluation.
Do price analysis and edible portion cost analysis.
Categorize and analyze purchases, item analysis, supplier analysis, portfolio analysis.
Weekly market research items, prices and suppliers.
Develop substitute food items and competing brands.
Develop statistical indicators, trends forecast prices.
Develop terms & conditions, maintains system procedures.
Monitor orders, tenders, contracts and arrangements. Ensuring that negotiations with suppliers at all times exploited to the benefit of the company.
Consult and liaise with management as to when changes / updates to the purchasing and procedures are required
Skills
You must have
A Degree or Diploma in Procurement & Logistics or in Business management
at least 10 years working experience of which a minimum of 5 years as Purchasing Manager in a large Industrial Catering company or in Hotels, Supermarket Chains, or in Food Companies is a must.
strong negotiation skills
knowledge in Food Import / Export Procedures in Middle East / Africa; Must be fluent in English. Knowledge in Arabic/Swahili is an advantage.
autonomous with excellent leadership and personnel management skills
excellent computer skills
