Climate change, agriculture and poverty alleviation: putting small-scale farmers at the heart of policy and practice
The goal of the climate change, agriculture and poverty alleviation project (CCAP) is that poverty has been reduced amongst small-scale farmers in Tanzania and greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture have been reduced through the widespread adoption of climate resilient, low emission agricultural practices. The project will achieve this by advocating for Tanzania to develop and implement policies and strategies that prioritise support to small-scale farmers. The project is a 27 month partnership between ActionAid Tanzania, the Tanzanian Community Forestry Network (MJUMITA), the Tanzanian Farmer's Network (MVIWATA), the Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG) and the Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement. The priority districts for the project are Kilosa and Chamwino. The project is financed through the Accountability in Tanzania Programme. As part of this project, TFCG and MJUMITA welcome applications from qualified Tanzanian women and men for the following six positions. The jobs advertised here will operate until December 2014.
