Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) is a non-governmental (NGO) organization that implements strategic communication programs aimed at influencing positive behavior change for the social development of men, women and children in Uganda and the entire East African Region. CDFU is working with the NU-HITES, a 5 year project funded by USAID, and implemented by a consortium led by Plan International USA towards a common goal of improved and sustained health and nutrition status of the populations in Lango and Acholi sub regions in Northern Uganda. CDFU wishes to recruit qualified, competent and highly motivated Ugandans for the following positions: Position: Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Advisor 1 Position GuluMain Office - Major Responsibilities: Based in main NUHITES office in Gulu and reporting to the Health Service Delivery Director in-charge of the BCC component of the project. She/he will take lead in design of BCC ' strategies, communication materials and overseeing implementation of BCC interventions.
- Provide technical oversight for effective and efficient development and implementation of NU-HITES project's BCC interventions addressing health, nutrition and related activities.
- Serve as the technical expert in the process of developing messages and materials.
- Coordinate pre-testing of media materials and community participatory tools. Monitor implementation of activities and provide supportive supervision.
- Collaborate with the M&E department to design and evaluation tools to track implementation, prepare activity reports to feed into NU-HITES' monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Support and supervise the work of two BCC Officers and one BCC Assistant.

Requirement: - Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Communication, Community Health, Social Sciences, Population or related field, a Masters degree in related fields is an added advantage.
- 5 years' experience implementing BCC interventions.
- Demonstrate knowledgeable experience working with districts, NGOs, community based organizations as well as government departments.
- Excellent leadership & interpersonal communication skills and a team player.
- Good presentation and writing skills.
- Computer skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
