Summary:
The National Development Corporation (NDC) is a statutory corporation existing under the Public Corporations Act, 1992 (as amended in 1993) with the mandate to develop and implement economically viable projects in partnership with the Private Sector. NDC intends to engage qualified and innovative professionals in various fields of knowledge to fill vacant posts in the establishment of a Bio-Iarvicides plant currently under construction at TAMCO Industrial Estate, Kibaha in Coastal Region. The Corporation, therefore, advertises these posts to the general public to invite interested applicants, from which competent candidates will be considered for engagement.
THE PLANT
The Biolarvicides plant referred to above is designed to manufacture six million Iitres of Malaria-vector mosquito control products per year based on Cuban technology with brand names BACTIVEC and GRISELESF. The products are applied in mosquito breeding areas to eliminate the vector's mosquito larvae, before they mature into flying mosquitoes, which is the primary agent for the spread of the malaria pandemic. The project is funded by the Government of The United Republic of Tanzania through NDC as part of the Government's efforts to eliminate Malaria in the country.
Terms for Engagement
Successful applicant will be engaged on contract terms for three years, renewable upon satisfactory performance. However, they will be subjected to six months probation period immediately after engagement.
Remuneration
The posts carry competitive remuneration and incentive packages commensurate with the respective duties and responsibilities.
