Mwenyekiti wa Simba, Ismail Aden Rage amevunja kamati zilizokuwa zinaundwa na waziri na wabunge kadhaa. Rage pia amelifuta tawi maarufu la Mpira Pesa la Magomeni jijini Dar es Salaam. 

Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari jijini Dar es Salaam jana Ijumaa kwenye Makao Makuu ya Simba, Rage alidai amechukua hatua hiyo ili kurudisha utulivu klabuni na kuongeza ufanisi. 

Fagio hilo limewakumba Naibu Waziri wa Habari, Utamaduni na Michezo, Amosi Makala, Mbunge wa Kigoma Kaskazini (Chadema), Zitto Kabwe, Mbunge wa Kilwa-Kusini (CCM), Murtaza Mangungu na Mbunge wa Kilombero (CCM), Abdul Mtekete, aliyewahi kuichezea Simba na Pan African. 

Vigogo hao walikuwa wajumbe wa Kamati ya Fedha na Uchumi iliyokuwa chini ya Makamu Mwenyekiti, Geofrey Nyange 'Kaburu'. 

Kamati nyingine zilizovunjwa ni ya usajili, ambayo bosi wake alikuwa Zacharia Hans Pope, Kamati ya Mashindano chini ya Joseph Kitang'are 'Mzee Kinesi', Ufundi iliyokuwa inaongozwa na Ibrahim Masoud 'Maestro' na ya Nidhamu iliyokuwa chini ya Peter Swai. 

Rage alisema wanachama wa Mpira Pesa, wamekuwa wakihusika kupitisha karatasi la saini za wanachama ili kuitisha mkutano bila idhini ya Kamati ya Utendaji kinyume cha katiba ya Simba. 

Alikwenda mbali zaidi na kutangaza kuwang'oa Mwenyekiti wa tawi hilo, Masoud Awadhi na anayejiita Mwenyekiti wa Wanachama, Ally Bani kwa kukiuka katiba ya Simba. 

Wanachama hao walishiriki kutembeza karatasi lililofikisha saini zaidi ya 700 na walikuwa na uwezo wa kuitisha mkutano wa wanachama ili kuupindua uongozi. 

Rage alisema katika uchunguzi wao pia wamegundua watu zaidi ya 80, si wanachama hai na wengi walikuwa wanatumia stakabadhi feki kulipia ada ya uanachama. 

"Tumewaruhusu kuunda tawi jingine kama watajikusanya tena," alisema Rage. 

Hata hivyo, Awadh alijibu mapigo kwa kudai kuwa wao walifuata katiba kwa kuomba saini za wanachama waliofika 700 kama katiba inavyotaka na ameahidi kupeleka suala lao kwa Msajili wa Vyama na Klabu za Michezo wa Wilaya ya Ilala.

Usafiri wa Ndege nauli sawa na ya Mabasi waanzishwa



Ndege ya Kampuni ya Fastjet itakayotoa usafiri wa bei nafuu

Moja ya Mabasi yanayofanya usafiri wa Mikoani
 Usafiri wa aina yake wa ndege ambao nauli yake itakuwa sawa na usafiri wa mabasi ya kawaida yaendayo mikoani umeanzishwa nchini Tanzania.

Watakaosafiri kwenda Mikoa ya Kilimanjaro na Mwanza, wanatarajia kuanza kufaidi  usafiri huo baada ya Shirika la Ndege la Fastjet kuzindua huduma zake nchini kwa gharama nafuu ya Sh 32,000 kutoka Dar es Salaam kwenda katika mikoa hiyo.

Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari jijini Dar es Salaam jana wakati wa uzinduzi wa mauzo ya tiketi za safari hizo, Ofisa Mkuu wa Masoko wa shirika hilo, Richard Bodin, alisema wakazi wa mikoa mingine watapata huduma hiyo kila itakapowezekana.

Alisema kwamba, shirika hilo limekuja kuwekeza kwa mara ya kwanza katika Bara la Afrika na kuchagua Jiji la Dar es Salaam ili kukuza masoko na kurahisisha usafiri kwa wakazi wake.

“Uzinduzi huo wa tiketi ni hatua muhimu katika juhudi za kampuni kuwezesha usafiri wa ndege kwa Watanzania kwa sababu wapo wengi ambao awali walikuwa hawamudu gharama za safari za ndege.

“Kwa usafiri wa anga kutoka Dar es Salaam kuelekea Kilimanjaro na Mwanza zitakuwa ni Dola 20 za Marekani sawa na Sh 32,000 kwa wasafiri watakaowahi kwa sababu iwapo wakichelewa baada ya kodi zitapanda hadi kufikia Dola za Marekani 70 hadi 75.

“Fastjet ambayo imeinunua Kampuni ya 540, imechagua Mkoa wa Dar es Salaam kuwa kituo chake cha kwanza cha uendeshaji barani Afrika ambapo safari za ndege zitaanza kuruka kutoka Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Julius Nyerere kuanzia Novemba 29 mwaka huu.

“Tiketi za Dar es Salaam kwenda Kilimanjaro na Mwanza zimeanza kuuzwa leo (jana), safari nyingine za ndani na Kanda ya Mashariki mwa Afrika zitaanza baada ya wiki kadhaa.

“Kwa ujumla, hiki ni kipindi cha kihistoria kwa safari za anga Tanzania na hasa Bara la Afrika kwa sababu tumedharimia kuhakikisha usafiri wa anga kwa upande wa bara hili unakuwa ni kitu ambacho kila mtu anaweza kukimudu tofauti na awali,” alisema Bodin.

Kutokana na ujio wa safari hizo, alisema shirika hilo linatarajia kuajiri zaidi ya watumishi 600 ili kukabiliana na tatizo la ajira nchini.

“Lakini pia tumejipanga kukabiliana na soko kwa sababu aina hii ya usafiri wa gharama nafuu tumeuanzia katika nchi za Bara la Ulaya na mpaka sasa unaendelea hivyo tuna uzoefu nao.

“Katika kuhakikisha tunaingia kwenye soko kwa nguvu zote, tunatarajia kuleta ndege tatu aina ya A319 zitakazoanza kutoa huduma mara mbili kwa siku kwa kila mkoa na zitakuwa zikitoa huduma za ubora wa kimataifa,” alisema.

Sales Manager:Airtime




Our Client is the biggest mobile phone retailer in East Africa that is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidate for the above vacancy;
Objective:
This role takes responsibility of Company’s retail airtime vertical. This is primarily a sales and retail management role, by driving the sales of airtime through Company’s retail network and any potential third party specialized electronic channels.   The position will ensure that the Company shop channel fully delivers
The person will hold a separate Profit and Loss statement for the Retail Airtime vertical, to which direct and indirect costs will be allocated. The person will be expected to generate a profit out of the airtime product vertical within 6 months.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all airtime sales activities to maximize sales revenues and growth and achieve revenue targets and goals
  • Regularly ascertain the airtime sales potential per shop and region and ensure shop staff and supervisors are targeted and accountable to reach the sales potentials
  • With the GM: Retail,  be responsible for the retail airtime sales plan for the company including the establishment of shop budgets.
  • Monitor performance for the airtime sales against the annual sales plan including annual / quarterly / monthly sales plan + targets.
  • Direct the development and implementation of sales processes within  the Airtime sales vertical
  • Ensure airtime denomination availability in all stores
  • Lead efforts to increase and promote the sale of electronic airtime with the Company shops and act as the liason between MTN and Company in this regard
  • Develop a separate virtual electronic airtime vending channel that includes
  1. 1.The roll-out of a Company vending platform that allows individual airtime vendors to purchase stock remotely via Mobile Money
  2. Recruitment and management of a Company airtime vendors
  3. Implementing the necessary processes and control in conjunction with Finance / Central Services to ensure effective control of this channel.
    • Develop and find new electronic/virtual airtime channels via vending and retail and platforms. This will involve:
    1. Commercial negotiations with potential 3rd party vending channels
    2. Assist with the development of technical solutions to access such channels
    3. Coordinating technical and software development to provide the necessary interfaces between Company electronic airtime warehouses and the new electronic channels themselves
    4. Assist with the promotion of such new channels
    • Continually ensure that retail staff remain informed and updated with regards to latest vending channels and developments.
    The person will be expected to devote at least 30% of his/her time in shops engaging with shop supervisors and staff, on the job training, trouble shooting, merchandising assistance etc... The candidate will be expected to visit each shop in the Company network at least twice a month.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years sales experience with exposure to retail and distribution
    • Good presentation skills, and high proficiency in both spoken and written English.
    • An ability to understand technical concepts
    • A strong sales bias with key competencies in the areas of logistics, marketing and retail/distribution.
    • University graduate in any discipline, preferably marketing studies. A very result-oriented approach is essential.

    Job Objective:

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Provide key elements for community-based planning activities that identify OVC most in need, identify minimum package priority needs for them, and provide prioritized services within a decentralized context to enhance sustainability and appropriate targeting.

    • Develop a project database and ensuring that it possesses relevant data to feed project design, evaluation, reports, support Offices and other stakeholders as required.
    • Be responsible for the day to day monitoring and the mid-term and final evaluation of the Global Fund OVC project.
    • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, midyear and annual reports on project functions and submit them to the Director of health in line with reporting procedures.
    Qualification and Skills:
    • Must have a Bachelors degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Economic Development or any other field related to development with
    • Knowledge on Sustainable Community Development, Micro enterprise development, HIV & AIDS, Education and Nutrition is an added advantage.
    • A master’s degree in public health, development studies or social sciences is an added advantage.
    • Must be willing to spend long hours in the field.
    • Must possess demonstrable experience in networking and building relationships across different strata of society.
    • Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written) and Kinyarwanda is a requirement. Fluency in French is an added advantage.
    • Must be a mature Christian, with people skills and committed to socio- economic and psycho – spiritual development.

    UNDP SOUTH SUDAN CIVIL ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE



    The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is a key partner to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) and is the United Nations (UN) agency assuming the role of Principal Recipient of GFATM grants in selected countries. In its role as Principal Recipient, UNDP is responsible for the financial and programmatic management of the GFATM grant as well as for the procurement of health and non-health products. In all areas of implementation, UNDP provides capacity development services to the implementing partners; government counterparts and sub-recipients (SRs).

    Information on the Project:

    The UNDP South Sudan Programme signed the Round 9 Health System Strengthening Grant with the Global Fund on behalf of the Country Coordinating Mechanism-CCM of the Government of South Sudan-GoSS. A total of US$ 24 million was approved for the phase I of the grant; a period of two years (October 2012 to September 2012). The Second phase of the grant will be for a period of three years beginning January 2013. The main focus of this grant is on increasing South Sudanese capability to deliver and manage their existing services. It addresses four of the main constraints to effective service delivery, as identified in the national health policy: (1) Lack of skilled manpower at all levels of the health system, (2) Lack of appropriate equipment and supplies, (3) Lack of a well functioning disease surveillance and response system, and (4) Poor infrastructure and support services. These funds will go towards the implementation of the four interventions of this project listed below:

    Capacity building for HSS including health workforce:
    • Rehabilitation and renovations of 3 teaching institutions for training of nurses, midwives and laboratory technicians. 
    • Procurement of teaching aids, selection of students and recruitment of tutors.
    Strengthen Drug Supply Management:
    • Build, renovate, equip and maintain a state warehouse in Nasir. 
    • Recruitment of pharmaceutical supply chain management logistics specialist. 
    • Strengthen the pharmaceutical support supervision and build capacity for 100 MoH staff members at Lakes State and county levels for pharmaceutical management. 
    • Procure, install, and operate 6 hospital waste incinerators in the State Hospitals. 
    • Provide technical assistance for pharmaceutical waste management.
    Strengthen Health Information System:
    • TA for Comprehensive health management information system.
    • Printing and dissemination of data collection registers at central, state and county level as well as training of staffs on the use of these tools. 
    • TA to train the M&E staff at central and state level. Strengthening of the M&E offices in the 10 States, including renovations, furniture, transportation, at central and state level
    HSS Service Delivery:
    • Construction of blood banks and community resource centres. Minor renovations of laboratories and ANC/Maternity wards. 
    • Procurement of equipments and blood safety kits.
    HSS Civil works Projects-Overview:

    The HSS project is currently supporting construction and rehabilitation of; three teaching institutions for nurses, midwives and lab technicians, two Pharmaceutical Waste Incinerators and four hospital waste incinerators, five State M&E Offices, Central Medical Store (Riverside Warehouse), eight laboratories at state hospital level ,three regional Blood Banks, fifteen Antenatal Clinics, five maternity wards, and four Community Resource Centres. The programme is also providing technical assistance to strengthen the Ministry of Health (MoH) GoSS capacity in the management of health training institutions, pharmaceutical and supply chain management, pharmaceutical and hospital waste management, Monitoring and Evaluation and blood transfusion.

    Objectives of the ToR:

    The Health Systems Strengthening Project intends to recruit Civil Engineering Associate on Service Contract basis to ensure proper inspection and completion of construction/ rehabilitation of Ministry of Health facilities in selected States/Counties in South Sudan.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Summary of key functions:
    The Civil Engineering Associate is expected to work in close collaboration with the State Ministry of Health and the State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure to ensure quality and timely completion of construction works per contracts awarded. The Key duties and responsibilities of the Civil Engineering Associate will include: 
    • In consultation with the HSS Project Engineer, facilitate approval of site settings for specific civil works activities.
    • Monitor progress of civil works activities on day to day basis to ensure that contracted companies comply with approved specifications and work plan.
    • Liaise with the HSS Project Engineer and Project Manager to share possible obstacles to ongoing civil works activities in order to seek for best solutions.
    • Provide update/ highlights on progress of civil works activities on weekly basis.
    • Ensure adequate and timely supply of materials by contracted companies in order to minimize unnecessary delays or interruptions of the civil works work plan.
    • Ensure availability of adequate labour force, qualified engineers, visitors register books and instruction note books are provided on site by contractors.
    • Liaise with State Ministry of Health and State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure to allocate sites necessary for development of health infrastructure.
    • Provide technical and advisory support to the State Ministry of Health and State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure on civil works activities whenever called upon.
    • Document and share key lessons and recommendations based on performance of specific contractors in order to help improve the quality of other civil works projects.
    • Provide designs and BoQs for any additional works identified during implementation of specific civil works contracts and accordingly advice the HSS team on other available cost effective means.
    • Certification of all construction materials prior to construction as per BoQ.
    • Take lead in guiding the Global Fund team and government counterparts during joint field inspections to specific construction sites.
    • Perform any other duties as may be requested by UNDP. 

    Competencies

    • Ability to prepare and compile complete Project Reports.

    Required Skills and Experience

    Education:
    • Secondary School education, preferably supplemented by technical or university engineering courses in a field related to building and civil works.
    Experience:
    • At least Seven (7) years of experience in supervision of construction works.
    Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
    • Good working knowledge and experience using MS Office applications and AutoCAD
    • Ability and willingness to travel or be stationed at State/County level
    Language Requirements:
    • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic and a good knowledge of one of the local languages spoken in the operational area.

Sherehe hizo zimedhaminiwa nan KIONDO COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL, AMAYA BEAUTY SALOON NA AIM GROUP.
