We are looking to hire on a contract basis 2 construction engineers to oversee or terminal modernisation project. the project is expected to last 1.5 years. the two candidates should have the following qualifications:
  • Must be a mechanical or civil engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Must be registered with the Engineers registration board
  • Must have prior experience and knowledge of contract management
  • Must be able to prepare bills of quantity, contracts and schedule of quantities
  • Must have solid experience in verification and certification of works and invoices
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office Package, AutoCAD, In addition, knowledge of SAP system would be an added advantage
  • Must have knowledge and experience in the process of closing contracts
  • Must have above average quality awareness so as to be able to hold the contractors responsible
  • Must have knowledge of Health and Safety protocols as far as petroleum terminals are concerned
  • Must be knowledgeable in statutory matters and standards in construction
  • Must possess solid managerial skill and ability to make quick decisions
  • Must have solid analytical and communication skills
  • must have the skill and ability to liaise with multiple consultants/contractors and push for timely completion of projects and within the projected costs
  • Must be able to read, understand execution drawings
  • Must have the ability to maintain documentation in a systematic manner
